House Rules

For a safe and respectful experience at FLŌAT Studio.

1

Purpose of the House Rules

These rules are designed to protect the health and safety of all participants, trainers, and visitors at FLOAT Studio, and to ensure a respectful and mindful environment for everyone.

2

Health and Personal Responsibility

Training at Your Own Risk

All exercises are performed at your own risk. By booking or participating, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to take part in the classes. FLOAT Studio assumes no liability for injuries or health impairments unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of our team.

Medical Advice

If you have pre-existing conditions (e.g. cardiovascular issues, back or joint problems), have recently had surgery, or are pregnant, we recommend consulting a doctor before joining a class. Please inform the trainer before class about any relevant health conditions or acute complaints.

Responsibility During Training

Always pay attention to how you feel: pain is not a sign of effective training. Stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, or nausea, and contact the studio team. Please follow all safety instructions and corrections from the trainers. Unauthorized modifications or improper use of additional weights increase the risk of injury.

Hot Classes

Participation in classes with elevated room temperatures (Hot Classes) is at your own risk. Pay special attention to your body's signals and inform the trainer immediately if you feel unwell.

Insurance

FLOAT Studio does not provide accident or health insurance. Please check your individual insurance coverage. We assume no liability for personal belongings brought into the studio. Please use the lockable lockers provided.

3

Safety in the Training Area

  • Please enter the training room barefoot or wearing clean, non-slip socks only. Street shoes are not permitted in the class area.
  • Equipment, dumbbells, and other gear may only be used after proper instruction. Carefully check straps, springs, and fasteners before use.
  • Always maintain sufficient distance from other mats and equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Disinfect mats and handles after use with the cleaning products provided.

4

Hygiene and Tidiness

  • Wash or disinfect your hands before entering the training room.
  • Only use water bottles with a secure, closable lid.
  • Please store bags, jackets, and helmets in the changing area to avoid tripping hazards in the class room.
  • Bring a towel – our classes are heated and you will sweat.

5

Bookings, Punctuality & Cancellations

  • Check-in is required at least 5 minutes before class starts, otherwise your spot may be given away.
  • Free cancellations are possible up to 12 hours before class. After that, the full session will be charged.
  • Repeated no-shows may result in a temporary booking suspension.

6

House Authority

The FLOAT Studio team reserves the right to exclude individuals from training in the event of violations of the house rules or if they pose a risk to others.

7

Limitation of Liability

FLOAT Studio is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct on our part. There is no liability for ordinary negligence – except in cases of injury to life, body, or health. Liability for valuables is excluded; please use the lockers at your own responsibility.

8

Emergencies

A first aid kit is located in the hallway, to the right of the door behind a curtain. A floor plan is displayed at the reception. In case of emergency, please call 112 and provide the following address: "FLOAT Studio, Glogauer Straße 6, 10999 Berlin". Escape routes and assembly points are signposted. Please keep emergency exits clear at all times.

9

Effective Date & Changes

These house rules take effect on August 1, 2025 and remain valid until further notice. Changes will be communicated in writing via notice in the studio as well as digitally through the newsletter and website.

Respect the space. Respect each other.
